#96 – Worst Of

Monday, December 28th, 2009

The good news is that the final Dave and Steve Show of 2009 is going up a day early! The bad news is that it’s a “Best Of” thrown together by Dave, in between blackouts from too much eggnog and sugar cookies.

We will be back in full swing on January 4th and will have a hot, fresh and VERY 2010 show for you the following day! Until then, share this sucker with friends as a primer for the magic that is The Dave and Steve Show!

And make sure you stick around to the very end to hear an amazing collection of drops played together for the very first time.

Princess Amber probably doesn’t want a photo of her husband kissing another man up on the main site, but what better way to kick off 2010 then by reading one of her emails to us!

Argar New Year!

#95 – Holiday Special

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Note: Looks like Sprinkles the Elf managed to sneak into our editing booth and have some fun with us. If you start to hear bad audio around the 30 minute mark, just re-download the show and you’ll be fine. That darn Sprinkles!

We are recovering from our eggnog hangovers and trying to catch a flight out of The North Pole. In the meantime, we managed to get our very special Holiday Show up for all of you to listen to! We’ve got elves, frozen fingers, letters to Santa, Holiday Headlines, and the 2nd Annual Dave and Steve Show Gift Exchange.

Not only that, but if you listen REALLY closely to said gift exchange, you can win a Steel Panther CD for doing nothing more than sending a quick email to the gang!

We should also note that awesome version of “Jingle Bells” that we use to close out the show is available for free to download! It’s performed by a band called Amasic, and the YouTube link and download info can be found right here! It’s just one more gift from us to you!

We hope you all have a wonderful Holiday Season! We won’t be live next week, but will still have a few surprises, so make sure you tune in! Argar Largar to everyone, and we’ll talk to you in 2010!

When you’re done listening, make sure you check out Dave and Steve’s Droppingson iTunes.

Written from a plane, somewhere over Canada.

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Hey Folks!

It’s Dave, and I’m sending this to you from high above the lovely Canadian heartland! As I type this, we are on our way to The North Pole, and are preparing to bring you the best darn Holiday Special that we can later tonight.

We’ll have a special Holiday-edition of Headlines, Steve is going to be sharing some letters to Santa, we’re going to chat with our old pal, Sprinkles the Elf, and Dave is going to read a very special version of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” to put you all in the Holiday mood!

As if that wasn’t enough, we’re going to kick off the gift giving with our own Dave and Steve Show gift exchange featuring the cast of The Dave and Steve Show, as well as the folks from The Dangly Bits Show!

If you want to hear just how badly one of these gift exchanges can go, listen to last year’s Holiday Special. You should be warned though that we were a bit more free-spirited with the language back when this was recorded, as we hadn’t quite hit the train wreck of a show that was our 50th.

I better go, as I’m not even sure I’m supposed to have my cell phone powered on right now. What are they going to do? Arrest a guy who is on his way to see Santa? I just don’t think so.

So tune in Tuesday morning and we’ll have some fun together!

Argar Largar!
-Dave

#94 – Paul Goebel

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

- The gang discusses the massive Christmas show coming up next. Don’t miss it!

- Be careful what you dip your chewing gum in, if you want to keep your jaw.
- Dave explains six degrees of Pandora, and it involves a polka and a lot of hair metal.
- Tracy goes way too far with the ZZ Top song titles involving Gretchen’s mom.
- Courtney Love got her daughter taken away, and Jessica Simpson might be smashing pumpkins.
- We finish off the show by talking with Comedian and TV Personality, Paul Goebel. Not only that, but since Paul refers to himself as The King of TV, we have him go head-to-head in a TV quiz with Steve.

Make sure you hit up Paul Goebel’s website for links to his own podcast, as well as his touring schedule and more!

Steel Panther video interview Part 2.

Monday, December 14th, 2009

Part 2 of our exclusive Steel Panther interview is now up and ready for public consumption. As with the first video we posted, understand that this is far from a PG-rated interview, and those with sensitive ears should be warned that the Steel Panther members don’t pull any punches when describing what they have or would like to have done to some of their female fans.

You have been warned!

And if you missed part one of the interview, we posted that as well for your viewing pleasure.

We want to give one last big thank you to the following people for making this all happen:

Michael Starr
Satchel
Lexxi Foxxx
Stix Zadinia
Nick Rucker
All the folks at The Showbox SoDo
99.9 KISW

Steel Panther puts on a hell of a show, so if they come to your town, make sure you get out there and get your faces rocked off like we did.

Steel Panther interview update.

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

If you guys already watched Part 1 of our interview with Steel Panther, we suggest you watch it again. That’s because J the Producer got his hands on the footage and used his mad editing skills to actually make it come across as somewhat professional!

He’s now working on Part 2 and we should have it up on the site early this week, so keep checking back!

If you’re too lazy to scroll down two posts, just click this link.

Steel Panther video interview Part 1.

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

UPDATE: J the Producer worked his magic on the interview and made it even more awesome than before! So if you’ve already seen it, watch it again!

Before we go any further, you should know that there is a large amount of foul language and crude humor in the video below. It is not intended for children, people from Alabama, my Mom, or anyone who thinks Sarah Palin is, “a breath of fresh air.”

Here is part 1 of our interview with Steel Panther, which we conducted backstage this past Friday at KISW’s Holiday Hangover Ball. Gretchen was a real trooper given the fact that the boys of Steel Panther were constantly smelling her, touching her, and making obscene hand gestures about her.

We will have part 2 up very soon, and in the meantime, make sure you show Steel Panther some support! If they come to your town, go see them and remember what rock and roll is really all about. If you haven’t already, go buy their debut album “Feel the Steel,” either at your local record shop, or from iTunes. You won’t regret it!

Go have some fun with Paul Goebel!

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

Jen has been running around the offices here at The Dave and Steve Show, blabbering on about some funny chap by the name of Paul Goebel. It turns out Paul was even nice enough to mention us on his fine program, “The Paul Goebel Show.”

Paul is a stand-up comedian, has appeared on shows such as “The Late Show with Tom Snyder,” and “Beat the Geeks,” and knows more television trivia than just about anyone on the planet. It’s easy to see why he calls himself, “The King of TV.”

We’ve since listened to said show, and we think it’s better than the knees on a bee! So get out there and have a listen to it, and tell him The Dave and Steve Show sent you. Then Paul will act all confused like he doesn’t know who we are, and then he’ll probably block your email address. It’s all part of his act.

On the other hand, if you’ve stumbled upon our site after hearing Paul’s mention on his show, we welcome you with open arms! We may not have the TV knowledge that Mr. Goebel does, but we try to keep up on current events and create a show that’s lively and fun. Have a listen to any of our episodes, and let us know what you think!

A big thank you to Paul Goebel and his crew, and we’re going to do our best to see if we can get him on for an interview very soon.

Paul’s official website can be found by clicking right here, and his show can be listened to at Handheld Comedy.

#93 – Live Panther

The crew caged a Panther, and are ready to release it on your faces!

- Amanda Knox is too attractive to be guilty, and an inmate has a knife in his bad place.
- Tiger continues to hit from the rough, and the Australian camels are taking over.
- If you live in the Seattle area, get yourself to a Papa John’s today or tomorrow and buy a pizza.
- Dads who get their daughters every other weekend kept “New Moon” at #2 this week.
- The President honors The Boss, and the cast of “Family Ties” has been in the news a great deal.
- The crew finishes off the show, with Jen’s help, by recapping the Steel Panther concert that they all attended. Their faces were rocked off, and look for our exclusive interview to go up on this very site later in the week.

What strings do we have to pull to get this guy as a guest on our show?

Get ready to get turned on. (video)

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Nobody is around… it’s okay to watch.

Now who wants ice-cream?

Tracy, put your hand down.

The Chinese know what went down. (video)

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

While the Police here in the States are trying to figure out exactly what happened between Tiger and his wife, the Chinese went and pieced it all together and turned it into the next film from Pixar.

They have every detail correct, right down to Tiger driving an oversized mini van of some sort.
