Nitro Killed Pontiac

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Loyal Pile Member, Robert the Grump, posted in our forums that Nitro killed the Pontiac brand. If you’d like to find out exactly what he’s talking about, hit up the official Dave and Steve Show forums.

When you’re done, check out Nitro’s AMAZING cover of Nugent’s “Cat Scratch Fever” below.

I think we’re probably lucky that all they did was kill Pontiac.

“OOOHHH YEAHAH!”

BONUS: Here is one more Nitro video for their original ballad “Long Way from Home.” See how many hair metal music video cliches you can count in this one!

Don’t Ram the Boobs

Reminds me of an unfortunate incident that happened at the Dave and Steve Show summer picnic last year.

ARGAR LARGAR!

Awesome video of slow motion sneezing.

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

EDIT: YouTube pulled the first one for some reason. Here is another version.

Ready to be grossed out? Just wait until the snot starts flying.

I need a Kleenex.

The Dave and Steve Show – Episode #61 – Lord Bendover

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

Are you ready to rocque (or “roque” as Dave spells it) and roll all nite?

- Steve went to the zoo, saw E.T. and nicknamed his girlfriends the The Mandrell Sisters.
- Ball gags and extensive record collections apparantly mix quite well together.
- Tracy’s kid got scared by a tunnel.
- J the Producer really enjoys a good fudge tunnel.
- Dave went to a park with chickens and goats, and a turkey who stalked him.
- Dave also buys into way too many food gimmicks, with the latest being the square taco shells.
- Steve still doesn’t “get” Twitter, but the other members of the show are tweeting away.
- Amber writes in twice, and calls once while under the influence of prescription pills.
- Tracy, Steve, and J get into a huge debate over Perez Hilton and a Miss USA contestant.
- Hulk Hogan can sort of see where OJ was coming from, and Dave has no choice but to defend him.
- The guys sit down with Lord Bendover of The Upper Crust, and he does not disappoint!
- Listener Cecil sent in our leadoff news story tonight about a man, his wife and a bit of a surprise.
- Steve went to see Spinal Tap: Unwigged, and tells us all about it.
- Dave and Tracy went on a date this weekend, and even recorded some audio along the way!

It’s two hours of power and we need to shower!

Clowns and technology.

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

While this is a really cool video, in the end it really just proves my theory that clowns are in fact the most evil creatures on the face of the earth.

I bet they eat children too.

Treadmill Falls Apart

Monday, April 20th, 2009

Warning: There is some crude language in this one, but if you don’t mind that, then you will laugh out loud when this guy stumbles.

I sort of feel like this video is how it’s worth it to have the guy scream obscenities at you at that pizza place that always puts extra cheese on their pizzas: You may hear some bad words, but in the end it’s totally worth it.

“THAT’S NOT FUNNY. THAT’S NOT FUNNY AT ALL.”

Some films just don’t work on network TV.

Monday, April 20th, 2009

Case in point:

“Snakes on a Plane” translates almost as badly as “Somkey and the Bandit.”

“You scum bum.”

One Day Show Delay

Monday, April 20th, 2009

We are going to be delaying the show one day and recording on Tuesday night so that Steve can go check out Spinal Tap: Unwigged.

That being said, we should have a great interview for you with Lord Bendover of The Upper Crust, and Tracy and Dave telling of their journey to go see “Anvil! The Story of Anvil,” complete with audio recordings from them on location! So make sure you tune in Wednesday morning to hear all about it!

You’ve still got time to email the show as well, or to call the comment line, so get to it!

The Dave and Steve Show – Episode #60b – Dangly Bits

Friday, April 17th, 2009

That’s right, kids, we’re back with another mid-week dose of fun! In what we’re now referring to as “Dave and Steve’s Dangly Bits,” these shows will take place on a semi-regular basis and will usually be posted on Friday mornings.

- J is about to make a big move to San Francisco, and Dave won’t be visiting.
- The guys run down some of their favorite postings from The Dave and Steve Show website.
- Tracy has quite a reaction to seeing an updated picture of Bob Barker.
- J had a VCR way before anyone else, but only two Transformer tapes for it.
- Dave isn’t a very good artist but gets paid for it.
- The famous Britain’s Got Talent YouTube video comes up and J has yet to see it.
- Tracy and Dave are going to see the “Anvil” movie this weekend.
- The guys highlight a band (complete with clips) that includes a member with close ties to the show.
- Dave gives Tracy and J five minutes of alone time… and it is MAGICAL.
- Marilyn Chambers is dead, and Robert the Grump is really upset about it.

Talk to you guys next week on The Big Show!

What happened to that girl from “Small Wonder”?

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

We wondered the exact same thing, and it turns out she just did an interview on some lame morning show this past January. Here real name is Tiffany Brissette and she now lives in Boulder, CO.

Now we just need to see if J can get her on the show for an interview!

Hello New Day!

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

We here at The Dave and Steve Show are all big fans of the band, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. So when we stumble across a video containing a live performance of their song “Hello New Day” as well as a video of their bus driver eating asphalt while doing 25mph on a skateboard, it just has to be posted.

If you get a chance to see the Peacemakers live, you most certainly should. For tour dates and song samples, hit their Myspace below.

Guess who just found their next tattoo?

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

This is going to look great on Tracy.

The concept is good, but it’s the artwork that really blew me away. This makes my cowboy riding a dinosaur tattoo look like it was done by a third grader.

CHEESE!

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

Looks like that kid who went to the dentist has a sister…

We may have been near death, but you’ll be loving life after listening to our latest show!

Tonight on The Big Show!

Monday, April 13th, 2009

We’ve got a great show lined up to record for you tonight, and hopefully this one won’t eat itself with 5 minutes to go!

We have 3 voicemails to play from loyal members of The Pile, but you still have time to get your voice heard on the show by dropping us a line at 206-984-2407. You can also email the show at dasshow@gmail.com.

Along with this we’ve got ENews, Music Beat and Headlines, and you can almost bet that there will be at least one penis story in there somewhere (for all the ladies in the house).

Steve and Dave will also share everything that they saw on their visit to their hometown for the Holiday weekend, and Steve will explain why you should never pay too much for a rug.

The kids will finish things off by talking about near-death experiences, including Dave almost falling off of a mountain.

You don’t want to miss it, so make sure you tune in Tuesday morning!

While you’re at it, why not take a moment to tell a friend about the show? Just shoot them our website and let them know that they can listen to entire episodes right here for free! A big “THANK YOU!” to all of our Pile members who continue to spread the word.

I would never buy a costume from this woman…
