You’re a horrible painter.

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

You know how I know that you’re a horrible painter?

Because you can’t do this to a city street:

Pretty freakin’ amazing, and if you think they’re fake, the guy even has a video of how he does it:

So just to recap, you are a horrible painter.

He’s good, but…

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

We’ve all seen the people who stand on the street corner with the “HUGE WATERBED SALE” signs and dance about. This guy has taken his profession to a whole other level.

World’s Best Sign Guy – Watch more Funny Videos

Now while I’m glad to give credit where credit is due, and think this guy is pretty good at twirling that thing about, there is one small problem:

NOBODY CAN READ WHAT’S ON YOUR F*CKING SIGN, BUTTMUNCH!

I watched the video 3 times, and still don’t know what’s on the sign. If I were driving down the street and saw this guy, I’d think he was some kind of street performer, and not someone wanting to let me know about the “Giant Used Tire Sale” that’s going on right now.

Brand New DaSS Photos

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

You can now find some new images in our “Photos” section, thanks to Steve as well as our Pile member, Cecil.

Here is a sample of Cecil’s work, which is based on Steve mentioning on a previous episode that he saw a pimp riding a pimped-out Segway in Seattle, and me replying that I’d love to have a photo of Steve being chased by him.

Steve on the other hand went old school (literally) and uploaded some old school photos of us. See if you can spot J, Steve and me in Kindergarten photo below:

There are even more shots like this in our Photos section, so make sure you swing by and have a look!

A place for The Pile!

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Loyal Members of The Pile,

In case you missed our most recent episode, which wouldn’t make you very loyal after all, we wanted to call your attention to our brand new Forum!

You can find a link to it right at the top of this site, under the logo for the show. Registration is free, and everyone is welcome. This forum should be a place for you to have fun and chat with other members of The Pile, as well as a place where you can make suggestions about the show, and post links to things you think should be covered.

All of the hosts of the show are frequent users of the forum, so you can get a quick response to your thoughts and ideas. We’ll be plucking posts from the forum to read on the air as well, so get on there and post away.

As I mentioned on the show, nothing is more pathetic than a dead forum, so if nobody uses it we’ll pull it down. That being said, we hope you find value in it and post like crazy. It can only make the show, and The Pile, that much stronger!

The Dave and Steve Show – Episode #53 – Steel Panther

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

Grab your lighters and your Aquanet and get ready for the latest episode of The Dave and Steve Show!

Before we get to deep into things, we want you to know right up front that we have a brand new set of Forums that you can find by clicking HERE! This is a place for you to suggest topics for the show, ask questions, hang out and chat with fellow members of The Pile, and have fun, so check it out.

Tracy is back on the show, and drops the hammer on the crew for going in such a soft direction last week. The decision has been made to curb our language moving forward, but swing back towards the content you’ve grown to know and love.

Steve is a bachelor for the week, with both his wife and kid being out of town, and he may have to take a day off from work to clean his pad up before they return. Tracy missed The Turtles at the casino, but allows his Mom to see “the magic happen.” J took part in a RoShamBo tournament, and reclaimed his manhood. Dave is bummed to find out that Adam Carolla and his flagship station got canned, but gets over it just in time to liken himself to JC.

J is still a bit green on the Mailbag and winds up talking over his intro. However he powers through and manages to bring us emails from The Pile, including some photos Cecil snapped of Steve being chased by a pimp on a Segway. He also reads off a few Facebook comments from Sharon, and then goes on to say that he dropped the ball on responding to her. Amber does write in again, but doesn’t like our tone.

For the ENews this week, Steve gives us the box office and reads off a list of Oscar winners. He also spends a great deal of time calling “The Wrestler” by what he thinks its name should be, “The Wrassler.”

For Dave’s Music Beat this week he has a quiz lined up involving 80s Hair Metal lyrics. So if you know your Bulletboys, Slaughter, and Poison lyrics, feel free to join in and play at home! If anything, tune in just to find out if Steve keeps his unbeaten DaSS Quiz streak alive.

It’s great to have Tracy back, and he delivers by bringing us one of his best Headlines segments ever. In this edition, his stories include a man picking his nose to death, a criminal getting busted by a wedgie, and a prisoner who no longer wants to share his cell with his own penis.

To close out the show, we are joined by Michael Starr and Lexxi Foxxx from the world-famous rock band, Steel Panther. The guys dish the dirt on Avril Lavigne, members of boy bands who didn’t want to get on stage with them due to being fresh out of rehab and drunk off their backsides, and what exactly a “Wookie on your cookie” means. Their CD “Feel the Steel” hits stores on 6/9, and you can find more information on them at their official MySpace page!

If all of this wasn’t enough, the show turns 1 Year Old on Wednesday of this week, and the guys close out the show by having a big hug session. You just try not to shed a tear as you listen.

Between the Steel Panther interview and Tracy’s Mom, it’s our best show yet, so don’t be the only kid on the block who doesn’t listen!

Episode #53 – The Steel Panther Show

Tonight on the big show!

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

Listen up all you rockers and rollers, because tonight we’re having the world-famous band “Steel Panther” on as guests! You won’t want to miss a bit of this interview, as they drop some serious gossip on some big-name celebs, and share all of the details on their upcoming release “Feel the Steel”!

Not only that, but Tracy will be back on the show, giving us all the latest in headlines.

J will bring us the mailbag, complete with your comments on our Facebook page, as well as an email or two. To go along with this, we have a big surprise in store for The Pile, in the form of one more way in which your voices can unite and spread the love about the show.

Steve will drop all of the latest news in the world of entertainment, including a recap of the Oscars.

Dave will bring a special “Complete the lyrics…” Music Beat to the show, and in honor of our guests have Steve, J and Tracy compete to complete lyrics from 80′s Hair Metal bands.

And we’ll finish the show off with Steel Panther! Check out the video below for a little taste of the guys backstage (WARNING: Adult Content), and make sure to tune in to hear what Michael Starr and Lexxi Foxxx had to say!

Will the G-Rated theme of last week’s show continue, or will the guys quickly revert to their old ways?

Tune in tomorrow to find out.

Don’t miss the show next week…

Friday, February 20th, 2009

Man oh man, as if Pat Cashman wasn’t a good enough guest for our crappy little podcast, this week we are going to have Universal recording artists Steel Panther join us on the show! For those of you who don’t know who Steel Panther are, check out their video on YouTube below:

We got to talk with Steel Panther’s lead singer, Michael Starr, as well as their lead bass player, Lexxi Foxxx, and they were nothing short of awesome. The guys drop the dirt on Avril Lavigne, members of boy bands who didn’t want to get on stage with them due to being fresh out of rehab and drunk off their backsides, and what exactly a “Wookie on your cookie” means.

Not only that, but the guys fill us in on their upcoming album, “Feel the Steel,” which is set to release on 6/9 (get it?), and their current single “Death to All but Metal,” which is available now on iTunes.

So make sure you tune in, and for more information on Steel Panther, as well as four songs from their upcoming album, head over to their MySpace page at: myspace.com/steelpantherkicksass

We can’t wait for you to hear this one!

The Ace of Melody

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

So Microsoft has a program called Songsmith in which you can sing and it will create music based on your melody. Turns out even Lemmy from Motorhead has used the program:

I’m not sure if I want to cry, start a fight, or select which floor I need to get off on.

Drug Free

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

I think we’ve got NBC’s next sitcom, folks!

You give me a coffee shop, an attractive female next door neighbor, and a laughtrack, and I’ll give you the biggest hit show since Seinfeld.

Crane Pullups

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

Most of the time when I watch a video of someone doing something stupid, I’ll often quietly recite “Fall! Fall!” under my breath. However as I watched this video, I couldn’t do that because my knees were shaking too badly.

“Hey there is a giant crane! Bet I can do more pullups off of it than you can.”

Seriously… I got really nervous watching this.

Rare deleted “Pretty Woman” scene.

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

This one had to be shot again, due to obvious reasons:

Julia Roberts is such a beautiful woman, but even beautiful women should lay off the beef chimichangas when filiming. Richard Gere was later quoted as saying that Julia’s bottom burps could drop an elephant at 50 yards.

The Dave and Steve Show – Episode #52 – Pat Cashman

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

The Pile has spoken, and we have listened.

You wanted a kinder, gentler Dave and Steve Show, and we have responded by giving you our most family-friendly show ever. The content never jumps above a hard PG on this episode, so feel free to gather your kids around and let them listen to the show you’ve fallen in love with over the past 51 shows.

Did we overdo it? Probably. Will the format last? Probably not.

Along with this change in direction, we also have an amazing interview on this episode, in the form of Mr. Pat Cashman. Pat has been on both local and national programs, and has also been the host of several successful radio programs in the Seattle area. The guy is an absolute riot, so tune in and hear what Pat has to say!

NOTE:If you’re only interested in the Pat Cashman interview, we can’t blame you. Simply fast forward to around the 44 minute mark of the show to hear our chat with Pat in its entirety.

So listen while you can to what The Dave and Steve Show would be like, were it to air on The Disney channel. Okay, maybe not The Disney Channel, but at least what it would sound like on daytime network television.

Episode #52 – The Pat Cashman Show

Tonight on the Big Show!

Monday, February 16th, 2009

We’re turning over a new leaf on The Dave and Steve Show tonight, and promise a kinder, warmer and gentler show that the whole family can listen to!

J will finally take over the Mailbag this week, and we have some emails from listeners that will really warm your heart.

Steve will bring us all of the latest news from the world of Entertainment, as long as it doesn’t have anything to do with trashy gossip.

Dave has a music beat that your tweens are going to want to hear, including the latest on Miley and the Jonas Bros!

All of this plus Tracy will bring us stories of hope and love with his latest batch of headlines.

Oh and we’ll interview this guy…

That’s right Ladies and Gentlemen, we are pleased to have none other than Mr. Pat Cashman joining us for the show tonight! The radio and TV star will be sharing all sorts of great stories and clowning around with the guys in general!

So gather the ENTIRE family for this one, and have a listen. You’ll be glad you did. ;)

Steve and his lawnmower.

Friday, February 13th, 2009

So I saw this video of Steve (no, not our Steve), and thought for sure that the video was fake.

However it turns out that this isn’t Steve’s first trip to the Oyster Shack, if you know what I mean:

Now I’m still not convinced these are real, but I can confirm that they’re funny, which is why they’ve been posted here on The Dave and Steve Show website!

What’s this right here?…sorry ’bout that.

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

I’ll give the cop credit for one thing: At least he asked what it was and let go once he was told.

Why people make fun of bass players…

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

Aside from always being the tallest and ugliest members of the band, keep an eye on the kid on the left of the screen and you’ll understand why bass players are always the last to score.

In his defense, he probably wouldn’t have fallen if had been the one to do the sweet 360 jump like the lead singer.

The Dave and Steve Show – Episode #51 – Ball Mart

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

The boys are back in the studio after an amazing sold out Show #50 at the Key Arena, and though they have their work cut out for them in following that spectacle, they come very close to topping it.

Steve lets us know that he’s feeling better after his horrific motorcycle accident, and praises the other guys for being smart enough to get the insurance on the cycle, since it was a rental. Steve also forgets to turn on his “On Air” light, resulting in his wife being quite vocal in the background.

Tracy watched “Cars” with his kid, and Dave threatens to punch him for some reason. Tracy also somehow managed to see the “Iron Man” sequel before anyone else, and is now looking forward to “Back to the Future III.”

Dave noticed something odd about the sign in his local furniture store (see picture). When not feeding killer ducks in the park, he also fought off urges to punch a little girl who took a toy from his son at the park. When not busy with all of this, he took in The Big Seattle Butt show.

The mailbag is jammed, but Justin is nowhere to be found, so Dave has to wait a week before handing the reigns off to him. Amber rocks the show’s world by claiming she’s never going to listen again.

Steve brings us ENews, including a book you just have to read, and a great deal on wooden Playstations. The guys also talk pimped out Segways, and come up with an idea for the sequel to “Paul Blart: Mall Cop.”

Dave brings us the first “Music Beat” ever and, according to Steve, he knocks it out of the park. This week’s “Beat” includes Grammy news, Guns N’ Roses, Van Halen, and The Bullet Boys.

Tracy seems a bit off of his game for his first Headline, but gets it together just in time to have J join the show and interrupt him. Tracy presses on to share stories of people sleeping with animals, a bride getting her hair pulled out by her sister on her wedding day, and why you don’t want to drink vodka and pop Valium around a girl with a Stanley carving knife.

They show wraps up with J talking to a guy who is trying to start up a very different kind of fighting league in the Seattle area. It also turns out that this guy learned how to fight this way in the back room of a strip club in Vegas. Tune in to find out exactly what this guy has planned for his own personal fight club.

It’s the best Bo Ram Show we’ve ever done, so tune in and have a listen!

And for more information on our Guest’s fighting league, hit up his MySpace page at Beyond The Threshold of Pain!

Episode #51 – The Bo Ram Show

Tonight on the Big Bo-Ram-Show!

Monday, February 9th, 2009

We’re back after last week’s amazing sold-out show at the Key Arena and ready to get back into the swing of things.

That being said, we’ve made a few changes to the format of the show. J the Producer will now be taking over Mailbag duties, since he a) is our conduit to The Pile in the first place, and B) knows how to handle a male bag.

Along with that switch comes a new segment from Dave, but you’re going to have to tune in to find out what that is!

We’ll also be talking celebrity gossip with Steve, and Tracy will bring us yet another awesome batch of headlines.

There was something else… oh yeah… we’re also going to interview a guy who gets kicked in the nuts for sport:

Tune in to find out what he has to say, most likely in a really high-pitched voice.

GIDDYUP!

Steve is a fan of kids on drugs.

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

Steve found this video and asked that it be posted on the site.

Apparently Steve finds videos of drugged kids to be highly entertaining. Maybe next week he’ll send in a video of a kid snorting coke or something.

What I find highly entertaining is that the kids one remaining top tooth now fits perfectly in the space in his bottom teeth. He’s like a Kid-O-Lantern!
